Our Story
Welcome to Mica Academy. I’m Ivy, the founder of Mica Academy, as well as a teacher and a proud mum of two wonderful boys. Like many of you, I came to Australia in my early 20s. Despite my years of experience as a teacher in Australian classrooms, I often found myself puzzled when it came to providing the best opportunities for my own children.
Mica Academy was born out of my journey to explore the best educational options for my children and identify the missing elements in the Australian schooling system. As an immigrant, I understand the importance of integrating our cultural perspectives into education. Our literacy program is designed not only to teach kids how to read and write but also to help them navigate and critically evaluate the vast amount of information available online. Additionally, we emphasize media literacy and financial literacy, equipping young learners with the skills they need to become financially independent adults.
At Mica Academy, families come together to explore the best educational opportunities for their children. This is why our curriculum and learning resources are constantly evolving to incorporate the latest findings and methodologies. Our goal is to nurture well-rounded, literate, and independent young individuals ready to explore their own missions in life. We welcome you to become a valuable member of our strong and caring community, working together to achieve the best for our children and families.
