This class delivers state-specific exam writing preparation for WACE, VCE and HSC English, tailored to exactly what each state’s markers are trained to look for.
What We’re Covering This Term
- Exam-specific structure: writing to the format and expectations of your state’s actual exam, not a generic template.
- Creative, analytical and persuasive writing: building strength across the different response types senior exams require.
- Marking criteria fluency: understanding exactly what earns marks in your state’s syllabus, so students write to the standard, not just “well.”
- Timed exam practice: producing a strong, complete response within real exam time constraints.
Why It Matters
At this level, generic writing advice isn’t enough — a WACE marker, a VCE marker and an HSC marker are all looking for different things. This class prepares your child for the exam they’ll actually sit.
